OUR POLICIES

You can apply your deposit to the new date and time if you need to reschedule. Please notify us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you need to change your ceremony date or time. Rescheduling is not guaranteed after that time. We accept cash, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and Apple Pay.

  • Legal Compliance Disclaimer: Forever Yours Wedding Officiants strictly adheres to the marriage laws of the State of North Carolina. We conduct all signings and elopements in full compliance with state requirements to ensure the legality and validity of each performed marriage. Couples are encouraged to review North Carolina marriage laws and consult their local Register of Deeds office for any specific questions or clarifications.

  • Marriage License Requirement: Couples must obtain a valid marriage license from a North Carolina Register of Deeds office before the ceremony. Click HERE for Durham County Marriage License information. Click HERE for Granville County Marriage License information. Click HERE for Wake County Marriage License information.

  • Officiant Authorization: Our officiants are legally and locally ordained and authorized to perform weddings in North Carolina. Ordination restrictions prohibit our officiants from performing same-sex marriages.

  • Other Requirements and Statuses: Both parties being married must be at least 18 years old. Both parties being married must be legally single and not currently married to anyone else. Two witnesses aged 18 or over must be present during the ceremony, and they must sign the marriage license. The marriage license is valid for 60 days from the date of issuance from the Register of Deeds. The signed marriage license must be returned to the Register of Deeds within 10 days after the ceremony.

  • Marriage License Submission Process: After the marriage ceremony, Forever Yours Wedding Officiants provides couples with two options for submitting the signed marriage license: Option 1 (Preferred): The officiant will personally return the signed marriage license to the Register of Deeds office on behalf of the couple. Option 2: The couple can choose to return the signed marriage license themselves to the Register of Deeds office. Before the ceremony, the couple must decide which option they prefer.

*Note: Signings and elopements do not allow for the entrance of the bride or wedding party, performances, or any other activities aside from the act of signing the marriage certificate or conducting a standard elopement as described in the services. Wedding parties and guests are welcome, but the allotted time will be used only on the specific service, and all participants must be standing in place at the specified time of service. Failure to adhere to the guidelines will result in the immediate and non-refundable cancellation of the service.
